Lets do something for society (Housing society included :)..... )

there is one popular quote of John F. Kennedy -"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

It seems that present crop of us Indians have not heard or read this quote. Nobody does anything for country, state, neighbourhood and society. They expect all things will be done by some government agency (or they feel that one day they will get up and all the problems will be gone).

Even people who are not paying their dues for tax, electricity and water abuses the government for not doing anything.

In fact people are not clear about "Government". They think prime minister, president and bunch of cabinet ministers are government and they can do every thing and they possess all the resources. People are also under the impression that if these people are honest, then whole country will become honest and corruption free.

Sadly, this is not true. If so called aam aadmi (we - the common man) take his duty seriously and abide by all the laws and follow civic etiquettes - we do not need any help from anybody. We all the time criticise, criticise and just criticise. I start observing from the morning that most of the people (whether working for himself, for private employer or working for government) do not perform their duties sincerely. It starts with ME, I tried to avoid household work, skip my workout and try to shift blame on weather conditions, or on something other.
Then - Security Guard of my society (stretching legs on another chair, not wearing his uniform properly, not being alert at gate, not stopping outsiders etc. )
Then people at Milk Booth, not waiting for their turn, not keeping space between themselves etc.
Then people going to office driving in wrong side to jump slow traffic, not driving in their lanes, not stopping at traffic signal.
Then traffic police constable not doing their job strictly. Then me again -after reaching office late, checking my fb account, doing personal work like shopping online (and sometime offline too), talking to colleagues about tv shows and movies etc.

To be short, everybody is not contributing enough and we ourselves are not doing or taking our duties seriously and blaming others. If a security guard has to stand at gate for 8 hours, why cant he do his duty efficiently. What the others - government or political parties have to do with this. If I have to go office why I cant reach on time, why we all start for office at 9 in the morning. why we cant check our facebook account at home....

So if we are not doing our duty sincerely, not paying our taxes honestly, they why to expect honesty and sincerity from political leaders or policemen, after all they also selected/elected out of us.

think man!

Take it Light.... Talk light

Some days ago, I read a quote by Osho " Dont take life seriously". It is not about handling pressure, rather it is about how not to generate pressure on oneself. Take an example of Cricket match.. the team or player who create unncessary pressure cant be successful. You have to enjoy to be successful. If you can smile during a SO CALLED tense situation THEN there is NO TENSION at all. I m telling you a smile lifts a burden from your shoulders, nerves around your neck get relexed, like a mug of coffee or smoking works, only difference is - A smile does not have any adverse side effect.

When I was doing my CA, I used to work at a company in Okhla on part time basis. I used to go there once a week. There were two persons Verma and Kaushal [their real names :), if I give them some other names I am taking life seriously]. These both peoples were very funny and they took care of all the business of the company, all others were labourers. Once a while the owner visited. He used to take good class of both the people as Verma and Kaushal usually did not do any work, they were very casual in their attitude. Whenever the owner visited, he straightaway called them to their cabin and used to take them left right and centre. I listened all type of sounds (abuses) outside. But both Verma and Kaushal, everytime came out smiling. AND to my amazement, they wanted me to get relaxed. They used to tell me, "Yaar Arun, humen wo jo JHAD deta hai, hum usko bahar nikalte he jhad dete hain." I used to feel every time that I learnt a lot from these two guys. (apart from a lot of non veg jokes).

We take tension generally for matters which are beyond our control. one should do his best and leave others' part to them. Rest is OK (And taking rest is best)..... so bye for now

Deewaren

Control over certain things

we take birth to learn new lessons. I think I had learnt my lessons for this birth, though some chapters are still pending to be read. There are five things over which one should have control i.e. i think i am free from मद & लोभ . Have partial control over क्रोध & moh. The first one still torture me lot. Lets wait ...... I think with grace of God and passage of time situation will improve.

Thank You God

I thank Him for making my life so comfortable that I have time and energy to create a blog. How many in India have this privilege? Don't think more than 5%. I have every thing in the world. I am so fortunate. मेरे पास जेब में १२० रु हैं but I had every thing. Today if I leave my body, I will not have any regret, except the fact that some people will miss me for sometime, some will cry too.... but everything will be alright after a while...
